Photo 1 – Snowfall in Cranbrook, British Columbia

Project 365 begins today.

The idea is simple. Take a photo a day that captures the essence of what you did, who you met or where you went, and then post it to a personal blog, photojournal or photo hosting site such as Flickr. At the end of the year, you’ll have a rich visual history of your entire year told through a series of 365 photos, serving as a reminder to get up and do something that scares you every day, challenging you to live life to the fullest.

This is a project that I’ve always wanted to do but never really got around to starting, telling myself that I would begin ‘next year’.

Since I have largely ignored photography.renjie.ca for the better part of the year, Project 365 serves as the perfect excuse to get this photography blog off the ground. Again.

After a period of reflection having spent the past week at home with the family in beautiful Cranbrook, British Columbia, I have a clear set of personal goals and objectives that I want to achieve in 2012. This coming year certainly holds a lot of promise, but it also has a lot to live up to considering that 2011 was quite the year for me.

As we begin this year, I truly wish all of you the best for 2012.

This year is ours for the taking. Let’s rock this.
