Photo 42 – Whitney Houston

From the amazing high of #Linsanity and totally jumping on the Jeremy Lin bandwagon last night, to finding out via Facebook that one of the greatest voices to ever walk this earth, the diva Whitney Houston, has passed away at the age of 48, serves as a reminder that no matter how larger than life one gets and how invincible they may seem to the general public, everyone’s time ultimately comes to an end.

Reminds me of the lyrics, everybody dies but not everybody lives.

Therefore live your life today as if it were your last moment, for tomorrow is just a promise that may not be kept.

If tomorrow is judgment day
And I’m standing on the front line
And the Lord asks me what I did with my life…

RIP Whitney Houston. You comprised a significant portion of my childhood given that both my parents absolutely loved your music.

Note: The above photo was taken at Jane Bond earlier this evening, where I had dinner with a friend. And though it does come across as a bit ‘too soon’ for the occasion, I still had a beer and toasted to Whitney Houston in celebration of her life, with her music playing in the background at the restaurant/bar.

Also, this goes without saying… kids, don’t do drugs.
